The annual fundraising event includes festivities and an all-night walk around the Newport High School track to raise money for cancer research. Survivors will take the first lap around the track at Don Ellersick Memorial Stadium. Throughout the night, a number of activities and games as well as prize drawings are held. For kids, there will be games, movies and wagon decorating. The Ceremony of Hope at 10 p.m. lights luminary bags donated in honor of those lost to cancer, those fighting cancer and those who fought the disease and won will light the track. The Newport Eagles cook a pancake breakfast at 6:30 a.m., and Real Life Ministries worship team holds a service at 8 a.m.
