The 9th annual Pend Oreille Valley Lavender Festival takes place on July 7th and 8th, 2012 in Newport, WA. This is a juried show of high quality art, craft and horticulture products in a garden setting. The event features wine tasting with Washington vintners, a micro-brewery garden, culinary delights, live music by regional musicians, flowers, children's art activities and locally grown and crafted lavender products in a beautiful, relaxed atmosphere.

Be sure to go experience the lavender in peak bloom, shop the more than 75 booths of local artisans and growers, and enjoy the open-air market.

This year the Festival is presenting a Gala Opening Night Concert featuring Pamela Benten, singer/musician, Saturday, July 7th from 6-9 PM. Admission by pre sale tickets of $25 per person.

There are also some exciting events for young and aspiring artists this year including the 2012 Children's Art Show and Poster Contest.
