Already a member? Thinking about becoming one? Here are some of the best reasons to join, or renew, membership. The Greater Newport Area Chamber has a wide range of benefits and services that we offer our members.
Our Chamber website is an invaluable resource for Greater Newport area businesses, residents and tourists. Although we just launched our new website in mid-February, 2011, we are averaging 2,000 visits and 17,500 page views each month. Each Chamber member receives their own dedicated page on the Chamber’s website that includes, at a minimum, your contact information, business description, and link to your own website, blog and/or social media presence. This valuable service includes keyword search capability and provides you with an instant online presence as well as helping your own company website’s search engine ranking. Want more visibility and branding? Our tiered levels of membership and a la carte menu allow you to do just that. Check out our Membership Due Structure here.
Your Brochures and Business Cards Displayed
Members may display flyers, brochures or business cards free of charge at the Chamber’s Visitor Center (which assists approximately 8,000 visitors, tourists and locals each year - over 2,500 in person, almost 2,000 by phone and over 3,400 by email) and at various official functions hosted by the Chamber including after-work meetings & other networking events.
Our monthly membership functions provide valuable forums for making and strengthening business contacts. These currently include monthly after-work meetings and our annual awards banquet, not to mention numerous community events we sponsor throughout the year. Our monthly member meetings are free to our members and are a great way to make new contacts in the area.
Referrals from the Chamber
Each year thousands of people inquire about local goods, services, shopping, and visiting opportunities via our website, phone calls and walk-ins to the Chamber’s Visitor Center located right as you enter Newport's downtown area traveling up Highway 2 from Spokane, WA. We recommend our Members first – with your contact information, brochures and whatever other information you provide us. The Chamber also distributes e-blasts, monthly newsletters and physical mail-outs, each promoting the Chamber and its members to new sources of business and referrals.
We offer seminars to help you improve your bottom line - whether it be on social media, email marketing, technological developments, customer service, website design, financing, etc., we try to keep it interesting and relevant. Have an idea for a topic you'd like to learn about? Let us know and we'll do our best to accomodate!
The Chamber assists other local clubs and organizations to promote their events and activities by disseminating information, answering questions, soliciting volunteers or including information in our mailings and on our website. The Chamber also facilitates and encourages member community involvement through our contacts with local community and philanthropic organizations.
All members are listed in the Chamber’s online Membership Directory, a guide of recommended businesses to newcomers, residents, and local and out-of-town businesses.
We publish and distribute sector-specific brochures such as "Shop til you Drop", "Eat & Drink", "Health & Wellness", "Stay & Do", etc. that feature our members in that given sector. These are especially popular with visitors to our area and are a great source of new business. Depending on what membership level you choose, you can be listed in these and even given "special mention".
Banner & Display Advertising
The Chamber website attracts viewers who are actively searching for information on the area and businesses which service it. This highly targeted demographic provides significant promotional opportunities for your business or brand. Depending on which membership level or a la carte services you choose, you can take advantage of our significant member discounts for banner or display ads on the Chamber website.
Studies Show ...
