You've found a place to stay, filled your tummy with local goodies and shopped to your heart's content.  Now you're ready for something else.  Our members offer diverse activities and services aimed at occupying and entertaining even the pickiest of visitors and residents alike! 

Go Bowling

OK Lanes, Oldtown, ID

Put on your bowling shirt and head on over to OK Lanes for some bowling fun with good friends or the whole family.  There are even gutter bumpers available for young children or the bowling challenged.  Food, video games and full bar on site as well so you can make an evening of it!

Go Kayaking

Bear Naked Adventures, Newport, WA

Launching from the City of Oldtown/Rotary Park located just off of Hwy 2, Bear Naked Adventures offers tandem or single passenger kayaks to paddle down the Pend Oreille River.  Half or full day rentals are available, with a variety of pick-up locations down river to choose from.  Enjoy the natural beauty of one of Pend Oreille County's greatest assets as you explore the wildlife and vistas at your own pace.  A perfect outdoor excursion to enjoy solo, with friends or family.

Take a Cruise on Diamond Lake

Pend Oreille Historical Society, Newport, WA

Learn about the history of Pend Oreille County, get a tour of the museum, and peruse the gift shop offering crafts, gifts and local history books, etc.  Located in Centennial Plaza in Newport, WA right beside the Visitors Center and the Chamber of Commerce.  We have information, museum tours, picnic tables, and off street parking.  Come celebrate the past with the Pend Oreille Historical Society!

Enjoy the Performing Arts

Pend Oreille Players Association, Newport, WA

The Pend Oreille Playhouse Community Theatre in Newport, WA is a performing arts theatre and events center.  POPA produces plays and musicals, offers concerts, summer music-theatre camps, sponsors an annual one-act play festivals, and provides after school programs for area children.  Their mission is to nurture, inspire, educate and entertain the people of the Pend Oreille Valley of Washington and Idaho by providing opportunities to experience all aspects of the arts.  Check their schedule to see what's on this week!

Take a Cooking Class

The Kitchen Shoppe, Newport, WA

Walk through the Kitchen Shoppe's doors and you'll be treated to the delicious aromas of freshly baked breads cookies and pastries. And if that isn't enough...the Kitchen Shoppe has tons of kitchen gadgets for every skill level, from the beginning cook to the most serious chef. This tasty shop also offers weekly cooking classes. Stop by to check out the schedule: they feature a variety of classes from Thai to crepes. Truly, this is a kitchen lover's dream.
